Microsoft are mistaken if they think good specs will be enough to make the Scorpio a big hit. However every Xbox Scorpio game running in native 4K 60fps is mighty impressive.
Timed exclusives are part of the industry - but this crappy blog is getting their knickers in a twist over nothing. Destiny 2 is launching day and date for both PS4 & XBO - the only thing different is PS4 is getting the beta and some insignificant dlc first. The Rise of the Tomb Raider Xbox One exclusive was widely regarded as toxic (judging by outraged forum posts and website articles deploring the move) because Microsoft paid money to withhold the full game away from PS4 owners.

PS4 has an install base close to the 60 million level. It has a PSVR install base of approximately 1 million - that is good but it is NOT mainstream.
The Xbox Scorpio will launch in November. After 1 year it might sell between 5-10 million units. With that install base it would be hard to reach VR sales that match PSVR's of 1 million.

This is an old-gen game that has been given a HD makeover, like PS2 games on PS4, and should be regarded as such.
I think the reason some Xbox gamers are so disappointed is because they had high expectations for this game which came from a full new version being announced by Phil Spencer at Microsoft's E3 conference. I play on PSVR. But as I understand it PC gamers have been leaning towards Steam VR / HTC Vive because it is a more open platform and allows games to walk around in a 3D space.
I don't think a Microsoft focused website is the most neutral media platform to judge that Microsoft won E3!
